Dental Care

Austin Health Center provides dental services on a sliding-fee; it is the only Mercer County dental provider to do so. Appointments are encouraged. Austin’s two dentists and our dental hygienist, supported by a full compliment of dental assistants and office staff, are pleased to serve the greater Trenton community. Services are currently offered at the Warren Street location, with an expansion planned to Ewing Street in 2006. No residency requirement exists; anyone can be a patient at Austin’s dental department!

In addition to cleanings and routine dental care, patients may also be served by receiving extractions, bridges, dentures, and repair of dental prosthetics (we are not able to provide orthodontics at this time). Our dental services are supported in part by a grant from the Delta Dental Plan of New Jersey Foundation. The Delta Dental Foundation grant is used to assist patients, who have no insurance and do not qualify for medicaid to receive care.

Dental Care Providers

Devin T. Goodman, DMD, Director of Dental Services Dr. Goodman graduated from the Temple University School of Dentistry. He has been in practice for over fourteen years at Henry J. Austin Health Center. Dr. Goodman services as Director of Dental Services.

Shaunon Moten, DMD Dr. Moten received her D.M.D. from Fairleigh Dickinson University College of Dental Medicine. Dr. Moten served with a field troop support unit in Somalia and Operation Hurricane Andres in Florida. She has attained the rank of Captain. She has been practicing over fourteen years.

Magali Santos, DMD Dr. Santos graduated from the University of Puerto Rico, School of Dentistry. She has been in practice over twenty two years. She is fluent in English and Spanish.

Adam Christian Taylor, DMD Dr. Taylor graduated from the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey – New Jersey Dental School. He completed a general residency in dentistry at Bronx-Lebanon Hospital Center. He has been practicing for over two years.

Kavita Nakra DDS Dr. Nakra received her D.D.S. from the University of Iowa, School of Dentistry. Dr. Nakra has been in practice over thirty-five years.

Carolina Escobar Ms. Escobar is a graduate of Community College of Philadelphia, P. with an Associate in Applied Science Degree in Dental Hygiene. She has been in practice for about five years.

Laverna Wilson, Dental Hygienist Ms. Wilson graduated from Community College of Philadelphia and has been a dental hygienist for almost twenty years.
