All physicians in the General / Adult Medicine Department
are licensed by the State of New Jersey and are either Board Certified
or Board Eligible. They participate in most of the major managed
care health plans licensed to provide services in Mercer County.
Austin physicians have hospital privileges at both
campuses of Capital Health System (Helene Fuld Medical Center and
Mercer Medical Center).
Complete Physical Examinations
It
is recommended that all adults receive a complete physical examination
(CPE) at least once every two (2) years. If the patient has a history
of a chronic illness or if there is a family history or other chronic
diseases, a complete physical examination may be required more frequently.
A complete physical examination is generally scheduled
for at least 45 minutes, but may take longer depending on the needs
of the patient. Because of the comprehensiveness of a complete physical
examination (which may include a number of diagnostic tests), we
encourage patients to arrive at least 1/2 hour prior to the scheduled
examination.
Routine / Follow-Up Appointments
Paying attention to your health is one of the best gifts you can
give yourself and your family. As medical problems are identified,
let your clinician review your symptoms, evaluate your complaints
and offer advice for medical treatment.
