Project
ACCESS (Austin Center for Comprehensive Early Intervention and Support
Services) is Austin’s program for those affected by or infected
with HIV.
Funding for Project ACCESS is through the Department of Health
and Senior Services with federal monies provided by the Ryan White
Care Act, Title II. Our team includes an infectious disease physician,
nurse practitioners, nurses, a case manager, and others - all with
a special interest in and knowledge of HIV.
Services include:
- Comprehensive, confidential medical care at no cost to our patients
without insurance; several insurances accepted as well; same-day
appointments and walk-in patients accommodated
- Case management/social work services to assist patients in accessing
and/or obtaining benefits for which they may qualify, such as
food, housing, and medication assistance
- Free confidential counseling and testing for patients, partners,
and others at risk
- On-site lab
- On-site pharmacy
- On-site specialty services, including dental, gynecology, gastroenterology,
podiatry, ophthalmology, nutrition, and behavioral health; additional
off-site referrals and/or services are coordinated by our staff
- Van service to and from ACCESS office visits as well as off-site
appointments and testing
